Igor Maltagliati is an Italian screenwriter, director and producer. He has a degree in Literature and Philosophy, and a Master in Film and Theater from the University of Roma Tre.
He is currently finishing the post-production of his last feature film, written and directed by him, an independent film called “Trip”. He is also working on his next three feature films: the American “The Great Darkness” and the Italian “Maria Balsa” and “Il Viaggio Di Max”, produced by Gianluca Pirazzoli, and co-written by Igor and Carla Vistarini.
Among his work as a director, “Tutto Liscio!” (2019), selected at the Italy/Los Angeles Film Festival and the Taormina Film Festival, stands out. In addition to the film “The Banality of Crime” (2018) and the web series “Il Bastardo Innocente” (2013), which premiered at Roma Fiction Fest and aired on FlopTV, Fox’s online channel.
He has also written and directed the short film “Locked” (2020), finalist at the Venice Short Films and selected at the Oniros Film Awards.
As a screenwriter, the feature films “Road to L. (Il Mistero di Lovecraft)”, directed by Roberto Leggio and Federico Greco, and winner of the 2005 Italian Fantafestival; and “Cane pazzo” (2012), directed by David Petrucci and premiered at the RIFF (Roma Independent Film Festival) stand out. Igor Maltagliati also wrote the screenplay for the short film “Maia”, winner of the Best Short Film Award at the Los Angeles Film Awards. And of the short film “Nuit Americhen” (2014), directed by Federico Greco.
She also stands out as a playwright, having written and directed the plays “Al Posto Mio” (2011), Frida Khalo, il retratto di una donna” (2014), “La vita dopo” (2017) and the musical “Il sogno di Clio” (2017).
